Halekulani’s Aron Sherriff will make his World Championship debut with the weight of a nation on his shoulders.

When countryman Steve Glasson defeated Scotland’s Alex Marshall in the 2004 final, the NSW star became just the second Australian bowler in history to lift the coveted singles crown.

Almost four years on, Sherriff will go toe-to-toe with the planet’s finest bowlers, despite his tentative years.

Less than 12 months after making his international debut, the 22-year-old continues to go from strength to strength.
