My name is Eliza Gorka and I work with a Sydney based casting company, McGregor Casting. We are currently working on a new Australian feature film with director Adam Blaiklock called ‘Locked In’. The film is a surfing thriller, a surfing trip to the tropics that goes awry. A ‘Point Break’ meets ‘Dead Calm’ if you will.
It would be filmed in the Maldives, around the month of September and would be approx 4-5week commitment.
We are looking for male surfers aged between 18-25 to be considered for support lead roles. They must have great surfing skills and confidence performing in front of a camera in character. Acting experience would be a tremendous bonus, but we are also happy to consider boys that would really give it a good go.
If you know any guys that you think might be appropriate, please get them to contact me via email with a photo and an outline of their experience. I have also attached a flyer outlining all the info about the project. If you have access to a notice board it would be great if you could pop it up for people to check out. Also, considering you would have far more knowledge in this area than I, would you be able to recommend any websites, clubs, competitions, or groups that may be worth notifying? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
