Taj Burrow Wins The 2007 Rip Curl Pro

It certainly was a fantastic grand finale to what has been a tremendous event.

The mighty Taj Burrow left his best until the last 90 seconds, unleashing hell on a wave, linking together one eon edge turn after the other.

Needing a 6.90 out of 10 to secure the deal Burrow was rewarded with an amazing 9.00 and emerged from the water hooting and cheering while being appaluded by the massive pro Aussie crowd.

It certainly was a great result for Burrow who hasn't won an event since late 2004.

Burrow will now sit alongside his mate Mick Fanning at number one on the Foster's ASP World Tour ratings.

WELL DONE TAJ!
