Australian Team announced for ISA Masters
The Australian Team to contest the International Surfing Association’s (ISA) World Masters Surfing Championships from March 30 to April 6 has been announced.
The event will be hosted by the Federación Nacional de Tabla and will take place in Punta Rocas, Peru
This is the second time the event has been held and the first time an Australian team has contested the event. Last years event was held in Puerto Rico with South Africa named as the champion nation.
Sandra English, an 8 time national champion is excited by the chance to compete on the world stage,”I was stoked when the ISA introduced the World Masters Surfing Championships last year but I wasn’t able to compete. This year is a different story and I am looking forward to being part of this team which should be very competitive”.
Surfing Australia are grateful of the support from the Australian Sports Commission and the Domain Casuarina Beach Resort in the development and preparation of national teams competing at ISA World Championship events.
